Everyone knew this was coming – Noah Syndergaard has finally been promoted to Double-A Binghamton.

With all the movement following Zack Wheeler and Rafael Montero being promoted, it was inevitable that Syndergaard would move up as well. Now comes the true test for Syndergaard—his performance at Double-A well give a better indication of what type of prospect he will be.

Right now, he could be as good as Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler—his stuff is in that category. Syndergaard is nasty, and I would actually slot him as the No. 2 prospect in the organization behind Zack Wheeler at this point. His upside is ridiculous, and he has the type of stuff that can translate to the ace of a staff some day.

Here is a snapshot of what he did this season in St. Lucie (A+ Ball):

Year Tm W L W-L% ERA G IP H R ER HR BB SO WHIP SO/9 SO/BB
2013 St. Lucie 3 3 .500 3.11 12 63.2 61 25 22 3 16 64 1.209 9.0 4.00
